Ultimate Frisbee, and sports in general, give my students an incredible way to learn discipline, teamwork, community, and the importance of hard work. These values have emerged throughout my tenure coaching both boys’ and girls’ soccer teams. Now, I am ecstatic about starting an Ultimate Frisbee team at east. Ultimate is an incredible sport, because beyond the athletic benefits of participating in sports teams, Ultimate emphasizes “spirit of the game” which allows players to referee themselves with a high standard of sportsmanship and respectful discussions. The students are already practicing and eagerly anticipating the start of the Ultimate Frisbee Team; however, the team does not have uniforms in order to participate in the high school league. Without uniforms the students do not feel like a “real” team, and they cannot participate in league play. This project is dedicated to purchasing reversible uniforms for the Co-Ed Ultimate Frisbee Team at East High school. The reversible jerseys eliminate the need for two sets (a home and away jersey) and allow the students to feel part of the team.
