My students are very active learners. They are often up and engaged but I have some students who benefit from moving while they are sitting during my instruction. I am requesting a hokki stool for my students with ADHD, who need just a little more movement. We do many brain breaks and a lot of hands on activities but students also have times when they need to sit and work.I have seen the impact of having these stools in other classrooms and that inspired me to write a grant for one of my own. These stools give students who struggle with attentiveness another outlet for their energy. These stools will help my students be better able to focus as I teach throughout the day. This stool will allow me to begin implementing flexible seating in my classroom. What works for one student doesn't always work for another. This stool allows me to have another option for my students. I want all of my students to succeed!
