As a science teacher, I work hard to incorporate graphs, charts, and tables into lessons. However, this has proven to be a challenge time and time again because we have no color printers in the classroom and I am forced to pass out black and white copies which makes analyzing a color coded graph difficult. Students want to engage with the material but it's difficult when everything is black and white but a color printer can help change this! Recently, my school district introduced a new curriculum which includes many color coordinated charts and graphs. Many times, the colors are too dark when printed out as black and white and it becomes near impossible to look at the data. With a colored printer, students will be able to look at colored graphs and charts and annotate them, rather than having to look at the graphs together as a class on the big screen. This makes it difficult for students to properly look at graphs and figure out what is going on. A color printer can solve this!
