The goal: to find a book for each student that's going to keep them reading until 1 in the morning because they just can't put it down! These culturally relevant texts and page-turners will help create a robust collection of independent reading titles that students will want to read on their own. I've added titles that I feel are high-interest reads and will aid in students improving their reading fluency as well as encouraging a love of reading. In the past, I've seen students, with the right book, transform as a reader and develop an identity as a reader.

About my class
