Many of our students come to us several years behind most of their peers, in reading and math skills. I am trying to engage them by using projects such as programming, engineering, and design with 3D modeling in CAD programs, to produce products that can be printed on 3D printers. We have purchased a few 3D printers but have been extremely limited in the quality of the machines because of our budget. There is nothing more satisfying to me than the joy I see when a student sees the things that evolved through their imagination and hard work come to life as a real object, that they themselves created. I am hoping to receive a Monoprice Delta Pro 3D printer, because it can print larger volume objects, faster and more accurately, than the 3D printers that we already have.
