My students have a variety of interests and learning styles. I teach students with disabilities, English Language Learners, as well as, "typical" students. They all would benefit from differentiated instruction that appeals to their learning styles, which include different leveled texts, visuals, modified work, translations, and videos for visual learners. My students love when they get a chance to use technology and would benefit from having the Chromebooks I have requested in the classroom for research, writing reports, and creating presentations. Since we now live in a digital world, I have been trying to teach my students to read on the computer using certain websites, such as Epic. The students love reading on it. Also our school has purchased the iReady program which creates a path for students to become proficient in literacy and math. They love using it at home, but they always ask me if they can go on this program in school. Unfortunately, I cannot put them all on at one time because I do not have enough devices. My students would benefit greatly if my project is funded.
