The addition of the Glowforge Laser Engraver/Cutter and the Snap Electrical Circuit technology equipment requested will enrich the students exposure to the advanced world of manufacturing. The additional activities will broaden each students problem solving abilities and build a self reliant drive. Adding quality hands-on activities has proven to enrich the students and keep them engaged. Students exposure to technology may be their only opportunity for the foreseeable future of their educational pursuits. In the end the graduation rate for students exposed to STEAM learning far outpaces students who do not. The statistical data found in the Wisconsin department of public instruction concretely drives home the importance of quality hands-on activities. Our country is dreadfully in need of more high quality engineers and manufacturers to replace the high number of retirees beginning to stress manufacturing currently.
