School life after the pandemic is very different. Students are seated in rows with a shield on their desks. This shield prevents students from seeing the board clearly and also prevents social interactions. As a part of my teaching practice, students work through hands-on projects that require more space than their desks allows. While engaging in these projects we work on the floor and classroom carpet. Last week's project left a very messy classroom. I can use disinfectant wipes to clean the desks, but the floor is quite challenging. I can clean the floor with a broom but cannot really disinfect it. I've tried a swifter but the disposables are quite expensive. Janitors are busy cleaning all 50+ classrooms, offices and workspaces around the building and cannot disinfect every classroom the way each teacher sees fit. This sanitizing wet dry floor and carpet vacuum will help me keep the floor sanitized directly after a project. This will help not only keep the room clean but also help lessen the spread of germs. It will help me keep the floor fresh for the next activity.
