Although we find ways to create edible things that connect to our curriculum, this project will help the entire family create a collaborative relationship with their child around food while cooking healthy meal and snack options after school with the teacher. All of the planned meal and snack options that will be prepared during the lessons include items that are being grown in the school garden. During the guided lessons, the students and at least one parent will measure and mix while making things that can be recreated at home. Smoothies, salsa, salad, stir-fry, spaghetti, the way kids like it.
