Because my students have very short attention spans, by using multisensory materials like Lakeshore's Uppercase and Lowercase Alphabet and Number Dough Stampers, and providing them with a hands-on medium that they enjoy using, I am hoping to hold their interest and help them stay on task by making learning fun. I will use the dough stampers to teach upper and lower case letter identification, CVC words, spelling, and number identification. The Learning Resources Math Mat challenge game will get my students up and moving, providing an entertaining and engaging means of teaching them basic math facts. I can write individual letters on each bubble on the bubble wrap and students can identify a letter or number as they pop a bubble!
