In my classroom, world music is integrated daily. We have an opportunity to open conversations about other people, cultures, and historical events through music. I would love for my classroom to be a colorful and educational space where students feel seen and represented. The flags are a continued effort in representing my students in the halls and on the walls, as well as using the large map during instruction. World music is a great way for students to hear and experience new music, languages, food, and culture. I have been building a collection of world music instruments and hope to keep doing so this year!
