Hello, I am Ms. Dunbar. I teach at an urban inner city school in Grand Rapids, MI. I love what I do but could use more resources to help our children become better readers. I teach Kindergarten and first graders and the delight I see on their faces when they are learning to read is priceless. So having more easy readers at their levels and guided reading books is what I am seeking funding for. My students love to read independently, so with these books they can feel successful. I also need book sets to work with my struggling readers in small guided reading groups. Your donation will help my students build and improve their reading skills. Since children are the future of our world, I want to grow readers for tomorrow. These book sets will help my students to become super successful readers. Guided Reading is one of the most powerful tools that we can use to help students enhance their reading skills. Helping my students get these book sets will be very appreciated and beneficial for my kindergartners and first grade students. These materials will give my children the confidence they need to continue to love reading. It is always a joy to see the delight in a child's eye when they have completed reading a book. I want to continue in the contribution of reading for the love of it.
