The materials which I have requested will be used at our math and reading centers. Each day, math and reading centers are utilized after whole group instruction. I prepare and vary the center activities to align with the objectives for the week. Additionally, my students may also use the requested activities during indoor recess so that they can practice a variety of skills. My students enjoy using manipulatives with a peer or, independently during and after my instruction. Having additional resources available so that they can practice and "test their skill", is beneficial. Practicing time, counting coin sets, or demonstrating an increased understanding of homophones using an interactive puzzle is exciting for my students! These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will have additional options to practice the skills being taught.
