We acknowledge that people are different, so it should come as no surprise that the way in which we learn is also different. We are in an age where we know chairs and desks may not cut it for all kiddos. By having a variety of seating options, students choose how they want to learn and reach their full potential. My students need an iPad to increase independent learning opportunities! We would use this iPad during small group instruction, such as reading and writing. There are numerous educational apps and programs students would be able to access. They could also use the iPad to create videos and projects. The mobility of this device will go along with the flexible seating I am trying to bring into my classroom. I want students to feel comfortable in their seats, whether it be on the floor on a cozy rug, a stool or a traditional desk. Students will be able to use this technology where they feel the most comfortable to learn! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic and creative achievement.
