Having these magazines available to my students will greatly enrich our learning experience in the classroom. It brings to life different types of text material in new and engaging ways. Scholastic News Magazine gives my students a blended- grade appropriate learning resource for current events, social studies and science. The weekly articles/magazines and online resources provide excellent discussion topics for our class. Exposure to the world in this fun and creative way opens up doors for my students to learn about and discuss innovative ways to interact with and change the world. With the help of these magazines we can dive into topics that my students would have never been exposed to otherwise!
