Our Physical Education department was just awarded a grant to purchase a class set of Heart Rate Monitors. Our students will wear them twice a week during cardio sessions to help them become accountable for their own fitness. In class, each student will learn how to calculate their personal Target Heart Rate Zone and the heart rate monitor will help them see if they are staying in their zone during a workout. Projecting the data will allow adjustments to be made by each student during the workout because they have real-time information. In order to project the data onto the screen for the class to see, we need an Apple TV. This will allow the teachers to be able to carry their iPad around to monitor the class while also being able to see student data.
