During my 6 years as a middle school teacher, I have seen the impact that having a well-stocked library can have in the classroom and for my students. We are looking to expand our classroom library to include even more diverse titles and graphic novels and thus give them titles that are not accessible to them otherwise. The titles that I have requested will be used in a variety of ways - intervention periods, independent reading, and reading/writing skills work. These books will enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create in our classroom and their learning experience. It is my hope that our library will continue to foster their love of reading that they will take with them in their bright futures.
