Through this expedition students are immersed into a world of art, and encouraged to work with a variety of art media/tools. The children are introduced to various artist and experienced different styles of art as well. These art materials allow students to be exposed to quality materials, to create pieces that have the mark of high craftsmanship. While exploring artist like Romere Bearden, Frida Khalo, and Henri Matisse students are inspired to create their very own abstract, still life, and portraiture pieces. This project will help the students develop self-expression, self- confidence and the love art. To close out the expedition students will welcome families to an art gallery filled with beautiful works of art.

About my class
