I am requesting a Cricut cutting machine and accessories to help bring our reading and writing projects to life. The machine and accessories connects to a computer to cut out virtually any shape or ideas you can think of or create. My students will create various pieces of writings based on the books they are reading. They will then create and present unique books using fabrics and cardstocks cut and designed using Cricut to explain their artistic creations while referencing the texts and the process in which they made their books. The Cricut Maker allows students to cut and design various materials so they came bring their reading and writing to life with uniquely designed artwork. The accessories requested such as fabrics, vinyl, and various tools will ensure students have the proper tools to correctly use the machines. Students will use the fabric and vinyl requested to help decorate and label their designs. They are also goint to create iron-ons for their t-shirts depicting their books. The Cricut maker machine and accessories for the Cricut Maker, will help students be able to really dig into their reading and discover a whole new world, while creating relevant pieces of artwork that help them showcase their higher-level thinking.
