Book carts will provide storage for the books I have purchased over the years for my students to check out and take home. This will let them practice their reading. Students need to practice reading outside of school in order to improve their reading and comprehension skills. It is especially vital to my second language learners who do not hear English in their homes. Books and reading allow them access to and practice with the English language at their homes. It also allows them to show their families the progress they are making at school by reading to parents and siblings.
