After we lost our entire school to the devastation of Hurricanes Florence and Michael, we were moved to the high school right down the road from where our school was located and had to basically start from scratch with absolutely no supplies, no books for the kids; absolutely nothing. Since that time, so many people and organizations have reached out to our school, donating some of the necessities that were needed right away. The students returned to school a month after the hurricane tragedy, and we, the teachers, realized that not only did we lose our school, all of our classroom materials, decorations, etc, but a lot of our students also lost all of their school-related materials as well. I have been able, through very kind donations, to get materials for my students such as pencils, markers, colored pencils, erasers, notebook paper, etc., but have not been yet able to replace any of my classrooms encouraging, motivating and learning posters. I don't have very much of anything on the walls or boards in my classroom. I would love to be able to keep my students motivated and knowledgeable when it comes to ELA. I have therefore requested posters with motivating statements to keep the students encouraged and posters with various ELA topics to give the students a visual reminder of certain items from the curriculum. I have also requested a few workbooks and curriculum-geared activities, to be used during instructional time in the classroom, that will benefit the students immensely! My students and I would greatly appreciate any help and effort that can be put forth in this regard. We thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for this wonderful opportunity and for your consideration. We are extremely grateful!
