My students have daily lessons in which they perform various daily household duties such as cooking, science experiments, laundry and clean up chores. The students often have items to wash that become soiled in their daily routine and need to be washed and dried before going home for the day. This is also connected to their IEP(individual education plan) goals and objectives in the area of: Transition-Independent Living Skills. They learn how to sort laundry, measure soap and turn the appliances on. Then after the items are dried they fold and put away the items. The students look forward to learning these daily life skills chores and using the acquired skills at home with their parents. The parents of these students really love that their children are on the road to becoming independent individuals!
