These magazines will allow my students to integrate two very important subjects; Math and Reading. Scholastic has an awesome way of creating articles that children WANT to read, while providing skills needed in the different subject areas. Students will get the opportunity to practice their reading comprehension and fluency, by reading the magazines both digitally and in print. Scholastic Classroom Magazines provide endless opportunities to support classroom learning. These magazines will serve as learning supports by helping to develop literacy skills through the close reading of fiction and nonfiction texts, while supporting the math standards needed for fifth grade.
