I choose two quality catchers mitts because of the type of leather they are made out of. These catchers mitts will provide more protection from the incoming pitch. These mitts are made of sturdy material which will allow them to last longer and hold its shape. Currently my players are using inexpensive gloves made of low quality softer leather that don't hold their shape (flatten out) and have strings that rip after several uses. My players are eager and excited to continue to learn about this wonderful sport. A set of two quality catcher's gloves can help them learn the importance of responsibility and ownership.
