With the inclusion of these higher level, genre specific books into my classroom, I am hoping to allow my students the opportunity to expand their horizons while also diving deeper into stories that can resonate with them for the rest of their lives. Through these longer and richer texts I am hoping to build their reading stamina and expose them to richer vocabulary. By offering several different unique genre choices, I expect my student's love for reading to flourish and grow and continue to foster a love of reading that they will carry through the rest of their adult lives.

About my class
