My students have fallen in love with the novel "City of Ember", through literature circles. I have had so many students ask me if I have the second book in the series, because they want to keep reading!! One of my main goals is to encourage a love for reading and I want to be able to instantly hand those students the second book in the series (and then the third!) to keep them reading! My goal is to buy five box sets, of the "City of Ember" book series, to donate to our school library. I want all of our 8th graders to be able to finish the series! Right now the library only has one copy of the second book and there is a long waiting list for it. I'm hoping to shorten the waiting list through this project and keeps these students interested in reading!
