This gathering drum is 40 inches and will provide opportunities for a large number of students to participate. A gathering drum helps to create community. This instrument would be used in all classes to assist in social emotional development. Restorative circles can be used to create community and safe spaces. Adding a drum can help students to become more open to sharing, through a group activity or rhythm game. In a class of different learning abilities, a gathering drum will help to focus our learning of self, others, and music. This allows them to help each other to achieve a common goal.
