Throughout virtual learning my students have expressed the frustration with how hard it is to read books as an effect of COVID. It is hard to concentrate as well as to know which books would be good ones to choose. There also was frustration expressed with E-books and how they didn't feel engaged reading books from the screen, but hard copies of books can be very expensive. This expense is beyond their families and my personal classroom budget. Throughout these conversations we decided it would be amazing to have a classroom library that was dedicated to the study of the natural world. This list of these books titles has been largely requested and compiled by students with a very few of my own selection mixed in. It is a mixture of reading levels and nature genres that my students personally expressed interest in reading.This would be an incredible boon to the classroom as it would encourage reading amongst my students as well as give the option for students to check out books to take home for online learning.
