The flexible seating options will make a positive impact on my students, as it will provide them with a variety of seating choices within our classroom. Students will be able to have control in where they work, and with whom they are surrounding themselves with. Students will be able to frequently change their location throughout the room. Flexible seating will also promote sharing and collaboration, as students will need to rotate their choices with others. Having different seating options, including wobble chairs, inflatable donut seats, and soft floor cushions, will assure diverse students are all comfortable in their seating, meeting different physical needs. We all want to be comfortable, as do young children. When students are comfortable and stable in their seating, they are more productive in their work and are better able to focus. As research supports, the Kore Wobble Chairs will provide an outlet for restlessness and extra energy. These chairs provide active sitting for busy students and will better allow them to focus their attention on the task at hand. Flexible seating will enrich our classroom environment and the overall learning of my students!
