The goal of my project is to build my students' confidence in reading. It takes one good read to build the value of literacy and these books, plays and magazines will help inspire my students to want to read, build comprehension, and vocabulary. My kids are below-level readers and building their comprehension with books of their interest will teach them reading. Reading is not only essential, but the building block to their future. Teaching kids how to read with books they can relate will enhance their curiosity. Many of my kids do not own books or magazines at home. Providing these books to my kids will give them a sense of worth. Books become a treasure they valued them.
