In our class, students listen to text on their Chromebooks. They also record themselves reading so they can hear themselves and I can hear them as well. Headphones are used daily to allow students to focus and improve their reading abilities. Struggling readers need good headphones with microphones, so they can become better readers. Students that are behind their grade level peers are often weary of reading aloud in class and this resource gives them privacy to hear themselves and get feedback from the teacher. Students are making great growth, but we are currently using old earbud headphones airlines used to handout during flights to watch movies or listen to music. Every time we listen to our books on our laptops 2 or more of these headphones break and I have to toss into the garbage. Please help out to provide a good set of headphones for my kiddos! They love to listen to the story being read and hear themselves as well.
