The library of books selected includes both fiction and non-fiction texts. The ability to read the selected books, will allow my students to meet standards (ELA 2.10). More importantly they will be able to explore the world of literature and information based on their own interests. I can think of nothing they would enjoy more because they all love reading. Being able to pick and choose from a larger selection of books in our classroom will give them more options and opportunities to read. What's more, my "Worthy Kids," will be able to find books on their level to encourage pride and successful reading. They're worth it and deserve the opportunity to close gaps and meet reading goals. Since, I am a fairly new teacher I have a small class library of books that have been donated. I am grateful but would love to provide a more extensive library of leveled books. This would sincerely help students that are behind due to Covid-19 and limited instruction during distance learning. It would be awesome to provide them with more choices!
