This will be my first year teaching Kindergarten and I know how extremely important a reading corner and meeting space is to an early childhood classroom. I am asking for two special carpets. The reading carpet will offer a quiet, cozy space to explore the world of books. The meeting carpet will provide the classroom with a safe place to explore and share with one another. It is an area where everyone feels welcome, new information is shared and exciting things take place. The carpet will be our home base to teach and learn from one another and build a classroom community that fosters learning and creativity.
