Mount Baldy Visitor Center provides excellent educational experiences for elementary school students. They will learn a lot about the culture of the Gabrielino Tribe also known as Tongva: their mountainous homeland, way of living, beliefs, housing and daily life, songs and chants, crafts, and lots more. This will be a direct connection with what our students learn in Social Studies this year. The outdoor experience in the mountains is mostly new to our students even though the Inland Empire is close to the Angeles National Forest. If we are lucky, students will also be able to experience winter-like temperatures and snow at the end of January. This trip will become very memorable for our 3rd graders.
