Because of my students socioeconomic background , they are not afforded many opportunities to explore the world outside of their neighborhood. Their parents work very hard to provide them with the basic needs, so a vacation is something they seldom experience. Also, they are rarely given educational experiences through the use of technology. Google Expedition will give my students an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through the use of technology. Rather than my students just learning about the Solar System, they can travel into outer of space and view the Solar System through the eyes of an astronaut. Through virtual reality, my students can take virtual field trips and see the world outside of their everyday setting.
