Since my students come from low-income families, they are not exposed to learning materials at home. At schools, our library has very dated and torn up books. By contributing to our classroom and donating the leveled reader books on our list, our students could become more fluent readers and improve their reading comprehension skills. Some of the students' families don't have computers or Internet access at home, while others work around the clock and cannot afford to take time away from work to take their children to places where they can use the Internet. By donating the materials in my list, students will surely enjoy sitting in a reading nook and select their desired leveled reader while immersing themselves in the wonderful world of reading.
