I chose materials that would not usually be offered to my school unless I buy them out of pocket. I've always wanted to have an after school activity to open up the world of the stars to my students. By having telescopes, I would be able to help my students experience this. By having a nice microscope in the classroom, which we have never had, would allow us to explore organisms and things we've never been able to see before. The students have always wanted to be able to do this. This will be a great experience for the community.
