Having headphones for our Special Education Students will allow them to access online assistive technology and learning programs through their Chromebooks in any general education setting, and help teachers provide Universal Design for Learning and differentiated instruction so all students can access the curriculum and have positive learning experiences. Recently, our district has provided our students with a unique opportunity to complete PATHS courses which would allow students to advance an entire grade level within math or reading within 30 hours of online training. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to fill in some of those learning gaps and help level the playing field so they can better access the general education curriculum and allow for a more equitable arena of learning. We need are a pair of headphones for each student so they can access the PATHS program via their Chromebook and get started with these individualized courses that have been specially designed for each of them from the results of their NWEA scores. Thank you very much!
