Hello, I am a Primary Server Learning Disabled teacher. My students range from grades 1st-2nd. They attend a public school in Nevada. I am requesting three sets of Dr. Seuss Beginning to Read books, and a set of Alphabet Reading books. Just a little bit about my students; all of my students have a Specific Learning Disability, which means a disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or in using language, spoken or written, which may manifest itself in an imperfect ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell or do mathematical calculations. SLD includes conditions such as perceptual disabilities, brain injury, dyslexia, minimal brain dysfunction and developmental aphasia. My students love reading, and story time. They have great imaginations, and can recall their favorite stories. My students are a great bunch of kids, who love and embrace the powering of learning.
