The last two years of school has been a roller coaster. Students have fallen behind and reading has certainly not been the focus. But it is time to move towards the joy of reading. Reading for pleasure can mean reading outside. After all that is safer and we all want safer these days. I plan to give my students a different view of what school can be like. To sit outside and read in the shade can be the start of reading for pleasure as well as reading to learn.
