Many of the families in our class do not have the resources to read to their children as often as they would like. They are often working a second job and come home late. Reading to young children is essential for so many reasons. The more they are read to, the better readers they can become. I would like to add a listening center to my class to give my kids the stories they love. The listening center will include a CD/Cassette Player, headphones and Spanish CD Read-Alongs. The listening center will allow them to escape into a great story. It will also introduce them to new adventures. And honestly, who doesn't love to curl up with a good book?
