Learning to code has been an area my students have struggled to learn. They have used lot of online sites where they can watch animation that they have coded, but I feel they need to see real objects move and interact based on their coding instructions. By learning the skill of coding my students can be more effective when working on projects that involve coding skills. The logical thinking skills learned from coding will help them to plan and organize their thinking. By learning to program the Sphero robots my student will see practical application of their coding skills. In addition, the Sphero robots will teach students cause and effect through coding. They will allow them to see the results of their instructions on the robots. The Sphero robots will give my students the hands on learning experience that they need to be successful.
