The carpet and carpet circles allow children to learn through social interaction while following basic social rules such as personal space. The small carpet will provide a base for our reading nook. When paired with other furniture, the students will have a space to go, relax, and read. The caddies and art supplies will provide an outlet for students to express themselves in a more positive manner. Some students have difficulty expressing their emotions in a way that is appropriate in a school setting. Creating a space in the classroom that allows them to use materials such as paint, paper, scissors, or glue that can be used as an outlet would benefit the whole classroom!

About my class
