My students use their devices throughout the day for tasks such as live small group conversations, assignments, and collaborative learning at a safe distance. They also need to be able to attend live sessions and hear videos or instructions if they are learning from home. It is very difficult to focus if 21 students in 1 classroom all have the volume coming out of their devices. Some assignments include listening to or watching a story and responding, watching video examples online for a specific subject, or interacting with other students' work or discussions. I work with students on their level with differentiated assignments live. For safe distance even in the classroom we meet through online platforms, so students and teachers must have headphones so others working on different tasks are not distracted.
