The students in my classroom work hard each day, and are enthusiastic learners. I teach all subjects to a diverse fifth grade class at a high performing school. Many of my learners are advanced to gifted in their reading and writing skills. They are a worldly, creative group of individuals who love to share their personal stories, but lack the technology to take it to the next level. We use the Writing and Reading Workshop program from Teacher’s College at Columbia University. Students love to share their writing and the Flip Video will provide a way to record their stories and then the students will be able watch the videos immediately after they are recorded. Our school is focusing on "21st Century Learning" and my students couldn't be more on board! Since the push for technology began in our school, we have seen a great change in our students. I know that they would be motivated to work hard when their work will be taped on the flip video camera. Technology is part of their everyday lives, and the more access to it I can give them, the better!
