These materials will make a difference for my students because it will provide books on hand for my students to check out. Not only will it provide different titles and genres but it will create a more culturally responsible classroom for my students. I feel that students are motivated in reading stories that they can relate to, therefore creating an interest for reading. I want them to be able to connect to reading as well as improve their literacy skills. I want them to be excited to read and not feel like they HAVE to read. With your help, we can provide my students an opportunity for them to learn to read better and to foster a interest and love for reading.
