My students are starting a poetry unit very soon and need notebooks to ensure their success. They are very creative and excited to have the chance to express their individuality in their work with poetry. With developing this skill to write, we are going to start working towards doing a poetry slam show for friends and family. This also added an extra boost of love for the art in their eyes. Currently, we have been using loose paper, which is not the best tool to keep all of their work organized. It also makes it difficult to have them reflect on past work to see their growth. Which is what I am doing currently due to the lack of supplies that we have. Having the ability to reflect in an organized manner on the work that they have created and written will be extremely beneficial in their success.
