The students have been running their not for profit mobile snack stand for a couple of months now. The students chose the menu that they wanted to provide for the teachers, made their prices based on cost per item, we shopped for sales, and keep up weekly inventory. The students handle all of the transactions with their teachers to work on their social skills, future job skills, and money management. The students have worked very hard to improve their interpersonal skills as well as handling their money, proper register drawers will be a big help for those skills. With your help, we will be able to run the whole stand right from our room without borrowing materials from other teachers and staff on a weekly basis, like their teapot or refrigerator to store inventory. The students are also learning how to cook and clean as part of our life skills goals. The vacuum and toaster oven will allow for us to practice those skills right here in the classroom. Thank you for all of your support!
