Environmental Justice is something we like to address in every class at our school. I have addressed this in my art classroom by creating projects that require the use of recycled materials. Upcycling is a positive way to shed light on the amount of waste we produce and its impacts on the planet. I hope to introduce photography and the power of photojournalism into my class next. By donating, you will give my students the opportunity to use photography as a form of visual storytelling to highlight our ecological footprint. They will learn about composition and the use of actual cameras while photographing the effects of plastic and its role in environmental justice.
