My students will be able to interactively annotate text, critique each other's writing, and visually represent their understanding of complex literature with the Mimio Teach Interactive White Board. Meeting students where they are by using technology to help them understand classic literature has been a goal of mine for quite some time. This technology will help accomplish that goal! A Mimio Teach Interactive Whiteboard changes my simple whiteboard into a brand new way to approach annotation and the sharing of ideas. By providing my students the opportunity to share their ideas that may otherwise not be discussed, this new technology will help to encourage a more interactive discussion-based environment. It will also provide those students who tend to fade into the background a chance to share their insights with their classmates.
